Cockpit/Bubble Covers:
The Bell 204 & UH-1 Huey Forward Cabin and Nose Cover is designed to enclose the front and side cockpit windows, extending forward to cover the nose. Pockets are included to accommodate pitot tubes. Made from Silver Acrylic Sunbrella canvas and fully lined with soft microfiber, the cover is reflective, breathable, and water-, ice-, and snow-repellent. The medium-weight outer material is treated for UV resistance, water resistance, and anti-static protection, while the soft inner lining prevents scratching. Tests show it helps reduce cabin interior temperatures to near-ambient levels on hot days.
Engine/Tail Rotor Covers:
Blade Tie-Downs are fabric “socks” that fit over rotor tips, with straps or ropes to secure blades at the front or other points. Tail Rotor Tie-Downs use bungee cords to hold the rotor in place.
Engine Covers enclose the swash plate, inlets, exhaust, and access areas, cinching around the main rotor shaft and tailboom. Rotor Hub Covers overlap Blade Covers to protect the main rotor, fastening with Delrin buckles. Blade Covers are medium-weight Solution-Dyed Polyester, with cold-weather versions featuring zippers and preheater openings. Insulated Engine Covers use Solution-Dyed Polyester, 3M Thinsulate, and soft nylon lining to retain heat. Intake Covers protect the intake area only, and Tail Rotor Covers are one-piece designs enclosing blades and hub.
All covers are available in All-Year Silver Acrylic Sunbrella for maximum durability and UV resistance, or Winter Solution-Dyed Polyester for lightweight seasonal use.
Plugs and Protection:
Bell 204 & UH-1 Huey Pitot Tube Covers (non-heat resistant) are made of Naugahyde vinyl and fully enclose the pitot assembly. They slip over the tube and secure at the base with a Velcro strap, and each includes a “Remove Before Flight” streamer. Heat-resistant versions are available to prevent melting if the pitot heat is accidentally activated. Tethered sets can be requested.
Tailboom Covers:
Tailboom Covers vary by model but generally enclose the tail boom from the “bottleneck” to the aft end, often including horizontal stabilizers. They are custom-made to accommodate antennae, lights, and other protrusions, and attach with straps underneath the tail boom. Separate covers for vertical and horizontal stabilizers are also available. Model-specific details are available on request.
Heat Shields and Sun Reflectors:
Cockpit Heatshields are interior sunshades made from a closed-cell foam composite with a reflective silver mylar finish. Semi-rigid and contoured with darts and folds, they fit complex helicopter window shapes and stand inside the window framing. The set folds flat for storage in the included sleeve. Some designs use Velcro or suction cups. Ideal for short-term cockpit overheating, though external covers provide better long-term protection.
Light Weight Travel Covers:
The Bell 204 & UH-1 Huey Forward Cabin Cover protects the cockpit’s front and side windows, while the Forward Cabin/Nose Cover extends forward to include the nose and features pockets for pitot tubes. Both are made from Silver Acrylic Sunbrella canvas and fully lined with soft microfiber. The medium-weight outer material is water-, UV-, and anti-static resistant, while the microfiber lining prevents scratches. Reflective and breathable, these covers help reduce interior temperatures on hot days and shed water, ice, and snow.
