Stinson Micro Aero Dynamics Vortex Generators

The Micro Vortex Generators for the Stinson 108, 108-1, 108-2, 108-3, and 108-5 are ready for installation. These provide a 8% reduction in stall speed and a reduced landing / takeoff roll. Improved characteristics, complete kit. Improved Aileron Authority, improved controllability. FAA, STC approved.

The Micro VG Kit consists of 68 Vortex Generators mounted on the on the wings, just aft the leading edge and aft of the slot, and 32 Vortex Generators mounted on the underside of the horizontal stabilizer. The kit includes the detailed drawings, instructions, templates for positioning the VGs, spares, Loctite Depend adhesive. This is an easy one day professional installation. If installed by
Blue Skies Aviation, there is a 10% discount off of the Micro Vortex Generators. The discount is given at the time of the installation, off of the installation cost.

A Micro Vortex Generator

Creates a tiny vortex in the air stream over an airfoil. This vortex energizes the normally stagnant boundary layer of air on the wing's surface. An energized boundary layer is more resistant to flow separation than a stagnant boundary layer. The result is that airflow "sticks" to the wing better, permitting flight at lower air speeds with improved control authority.
