Engine Preheat System Kit – AIR REPAIR: CONTINENTAL W670-6A (R-670-3, -5), W670-6N (R-670-4), W670-16 (R-670-8, -11, -11A), W670-K, W670-M, W670-23, W670-24.
This preheat kit contains threaded electrical resistance heat elements located in each cylinder assembly, and five pad heat elements on the engine crankcase, oil sump, and tank. This multi-point configuration fully preheats the engine and attached accessories for reduced wear on startup and reduced run-up times at any temperature. Power is routed to the elements through a dedicated wiring assembly with system power indication and circuit overload protection. System is self-regulating through design. Heated components reach an average state of thermal equilibrium in approximately six hours.
This preheat kit when installed will supply 690 watts with a 6.0 amp draw at 115 volts.
This preheat kit when installed will supply 690 watts with a 3.0 amp draw at 230 volts.
