Construction & Finish
Micro Vortex Generators are manufactured under FAA PMA from aircraft-grade 6063-T6 aluminum, alodined to Boeing mil-spec standards, and supplied ready for paint. Each VG features a curved base to precisely match the contour of the wing or tail surface.
Optional painting to match your aircraft is available for an additional cost.
How Micro Vortex Generators Work
Micro Vortex Generators are installed in a spanwise line approximately 10% aft of the wing’s leading edge. Each VG creates a small, controlled vortex that energizes the boundary layer airflow over the airfoil. An energized boundary layer is more resistant to flow separation, allowing airflow to remain attached at lower airspeeds and higher angles of attack. The result is improved performance, improved control authority, and enhanced safety during critical phases of flight.
