Canopy/Cockpit/Fuselage Covers:
The Piper PA-24 Comanche Canopy and Canopy/Engine Covers provide custom-fit, all-weather protection for the windshield, side windows, canopy roof, and—on combined versions—the engine cowl, helping reduce heat damage to upholstery and avionics while preventing leaks, vandalism, and theft. Each cover is tailored to the specific aircraft, including antenna and temperature probe locations, and secures with adjustable belly straps, quick-release buckles, and integrated shock cord for a snug, reliable fit. Made from reflective Silver Acrylic Sunbrella canvas and fully lined with soft microfiber, these covers are UV-, water-, ice-, and snow-resistant, breathable to prevent moisture buildup, gentle on painted surfaces, and proven to reduce cabin temperatures to near-ambient levels on hot days.
Engine/Prop Covers:
Engine and Propeller Covers are designed to fully protect the engine cowl, air inlets, spinner, and propeller blades while reducing wear and supporting both hot- and cold-weather operation. Engine covers cinch around or behind the spinner, fasten securely with Velcro down the front of the cowling, and attach with a belly strap aft of the firewall, with optional connection to a canopy cover and optional access flaps. Standard covers are made from durable Solution-Dyed Polyester or Acrylic Sunbrella, while insulated versions use a quilted, water-repellent composite of solution-dyed polyester, 3M Thinsulate insulation, and a soft nylon interior to complement engine preheaters and retain heat after shutdown. For indoor winter storage, a cost-effective insulated hangar blanket is also available for interior use. Matching one-piece propeller covers slip over the blades and spinner and secure with an all-weather zipper, offered in standard or insulated versions for cold climates. All exterior covers are fully lined with soft microfiber to prevent scratching, highly reflective to help reduce temperatures, breathable to prevent moisture buildup, and resistant to UV, water, ice, and snow for long-lasting aircraft protection.
Plugs and Protection:
Pitot Tube Covers and Engine Inlet Plugs provide essential protection for critical aircraft components during storage and ground operations. Standard pitot covers are made of durable Naugahyde vinyl and slip over the pitot tube, tightening at the base with a Velcro strap, and include a visible “Remove Before Flight” streamer; a heat-resistant upgrade is also available to prevent melting if pitot heat is accidentally activated, and tethered sets can be requested. Engine inlet plugs are custom-fit for the Comanche’s intakes, constructed from heavy-duty vinyl and filled with a single block of sculpted urethane foam, with zippers for easy foam removal and drying, warning flags or streamers for safety, and optional registration number imprinting. These plugs can be installed even while the engine is warm, helping protect against debris and environmental exposure, though storage bags are not included.
Wing/Tail/Empennage Covers:
Piper PA-24 Comanche horizontal stabilizer, empennage, tailcone, and wing covers provide comprehensive protection against sun damage, frost, snow, ice, corrosion, and environmental debris while helping preserve paint and control surfaces. Made from durable Solution-Dyed Polyester for seasonal use or heavier Silver Acrylic Sunbrella for long-term, all-year protection, these covers form-fit over the aircraft surfaces, wrapping around leading and trailing edges, and secure with adjustable straps. Empennage covers protect the vertical and horizontal stabilizers along with the tailboom using a one-piece, zippered design, while tailcone covers prevent birds from nesting in open fuselage areas. Wing covers slip over each wingtip, cover the entire upper surface, accommodate static wicks and common wing modifications, and can be labeled left and right for easy installation. Optional hail protection versions incorporate dense closed-cell foam to shield wings and control surfaces from small to medium hail, ensuring reliable protection in all weather conditions.
Heat Shields and Sun Reflectors:
Heatshields are interior sunshades designed to reduce cockpit overheating by blocking sunlight from the windshield, canopy, or other windows. Made from a unique composite of closed-cell foam with a reflective silver Mylar finish, their semi-rigid construction allows them to stand securely using sun visors or window framing. Heatshields fold flat for easy storage in the included sleeve, and some models use Velcro, suction cups, or split left/right sections for a precise fit. While they provide an excellent short-term solution for heat reduction, external fabric covers are recommended for long-term sun and heat protection.
Miscellaneous Products:
Tire and Wheelpant Covers protect your aircraft’s tires and wheelpants from sun damage and wear caused by tow bars during ground handling. Made from durable Silver Acrylic Sunbrella canvas, the all-year use material offers maximum UV protection and longevity, and is suitable for all weather conditions, including rain, snow, and intense sun exposure.
Light Weight Travel Covers:
Lightweight Travel Canopy Cover provides the same coverage as the standard canopy cover but is made from very lightweight Silver Solution-Dyed Polyester, making it compact and easy to fold for storage. Ideal for aircraft stored primarily in a hangar and used only occasionally, it is lined over the windshield to reduce weight, water-resistant for short-term outdoor use, and available in an ultra-lightweight version for fitted hangar dust protection. For daily outdoor use or long-term protection, the heavier Sunbrella cover is recommended.
