Canopy/Cockpit/Fuselage Covers:
The Piper PA-23 Aztec Canopy and Nose Covers provide all-weather protection for the windshield, side windows, canopy roof, fuselage, and nose, helping reduce heat damage to upholstery and avionics while preventing leaks, vandalism, and theft. Custom-designed for each aircraft, including antenna and temperature probe placements, these covers attach securely with adjustable belly straps, quick-release buckles, and integrated shock cord for a snug fit. Available in standard, extended, and combined canopy/nose configurations, all covers are made from reflective Silver Acrylic Sunbrella canvas and fully lined with soft microfiber to prevent scratching, resist UV, water, ice, and snow, and remain breathable to prevent moisture buildup. The highly reflective material helps reduce cabin temperatures to near-ambient levels, while optional registration number imprinting and included duffle bags complete a durable, custom-fit protection solution for the Aztec.
Engine/Prop Covers:
Piper PA-23 Aztec Engine and Propeller Covers are designed to fully protect the engine, spinner, and propeller blades while reducing wear and supporting cold-weather operation. Engine covers cinch around or behind the spinner, enclose the entire engine cowl and air inlets, fasten securely with Velcro down the front of the cowling, and attach with a belly strap aft of the firewall, with optional connection to a canopy cover. Standard covers are made from durable Solution-Dyed Polyester or Acrylic Sunbrella, while insulated versions feature a quilted, water-repellent composite with solution-dyed polyester, 3M Thinsulate insulation, and a soft nylon interior to complement engine preheaters and retain heat after shutdown, with optional access flaps available. Matching one-piece propeller covers slip over the blades and spinner and secure with an all-weather zipper, offered in standard or insulated versions for cold climates. All covers use reflective Silver Acrylic Sunbrella and soft microfiber lining to resist UV, water, ice, and snow, prevent scratching, remain breathable to reduce moisture buildup, and help keep temperatures closer to ambient in hot conditions.
Plugs and Protection:
Pitot Tube Covers and Engine Inlet Plugs provide essential protection for critical aircraft components during storage and ground operations. Pitot Tube Covers are available in standard Naugahyde vinyl or an upgraded heat-resistant version lined with a non-burning material, designed to prevent melting if pitot heat is accidentally activated; both styles slip over the pitot tube, secure with a Velcro strap at the base, and include a highly visible “Remove Before Flight” streamer, with optional tethering available. Engine Inlet Plugs are custom-fit to the Aztec’s intakes and constructed from heavy-duty vinyl filled with a single block of sculpted urethane foam, featuring zippers for easy foam removal and drying, visible warning flags or streamers for safety, and optional aircraft registration imprinting. These plugs may be installed even while the engine is still warm, offering reliable protection against debris and environmental exposure, though a storage bag is not included.
Wing/Tail/Empennage Covers:
Aztec horizontal stabilizer, empennage, tailcone, and wing covers provide comprehensive protection against sun damage, frost, snow, ice buildup, corrosion, and environmental debris while helping preserve paint and control surfaces. Made from durable Solution-Dyed Polyester for seasonal use or heavier Silver Acrylic Sunbrella for long-term, all-year protection, these covers form-fit over the aircraft surfaces, wrapping around leading and trailing edges and securing with adjustable straps. Empennage covers protect the vertical and horizontal stabilizers and tailboom with a one-piece, zippered design, while tailcone covers prevent birds from nesting in open fuselage areas. Wing covers slip over each wingtip, cover the full upper surface, accommodate static wicks and common wing modifications, and can be labeled left and right for easy installation. Optional hail protection versions incorporate dense closed-cell foam to help shield wings and control surfaces from small to medium hail, offering reliable protection in a wide range of weather conditions.
Heat Shields and Sun Reflectors:
Heatshields are interior sunshades designed to reduce cockpit overheating by blocking sunlight through an aircraft’s windshield, canopy, or windows. Made from a lightweight composite of closed-cell foam with a reflective silver Mylar finish, their semi-rigid construction allows them to stand securely in place using sun visors or window framing. They fold flat for easy storage in the included sleeve, with some designs using Velcro, suction cups, or split left/right sections for a precise fit. Heatshields are an effective short-term solution for heat reduction while parked, though external fabric covers provide more effective and practical protection for long-term sun and heat exposure.
Light Weight Travel Covers:
The Lightweight Travel Canopy Cover and Lightweight Travel Canopy/Nose Cover provide the same coverage as their standard counterparts but use a very lightweight, compact material that folds down small for easy storage in the aircraft. Designed for airplanes stored primarily in a hangar, these covers are ideal for occasional use rather than daily outdoor exposure. Made from Silver Solution-Dyed Polyester and lined only over the windshield to reduce weight, they offer water resistance for short-term outdoor protection while remaining easy to stow. An ultra-lightweight option is also available for fitted hangar dust covers, while the heavier, non-travel Silver Acrylic Sunbrella covers are recommended for regular outdoor use and long-term protection.
