Canopy/Cockpit/Fuselage Covers:
Custom Canopy and Nose Covers for the Piper PA-23 Apache are designed to protect the windshield, all side windows, canopy roof, fuselage, and nose from heat, UV exposure, water, snow, ice, and potential damage or vandalism. Made from reflective Silver Acrylic Sunbrella canvas and fully lined with soft microfiber, these covers reduce cabin interior temperatures to near-ambient levels while remaining breathable to prevent moisture buildup. They attach securely using adjustable belly straps with quick-release buckles and integrated shock cords, and are custom-fitted to each aircraft, including antennas and temperature probe placements. Available in standard, extended, and combined canopy/nose designs, all covers are durable, water- and UV-resistant, anti-static, and gentle on painted surfaces, with optional registration imprinting and included duffle bags for storage.
Engine/Prop Covers:
Piper PA-23 Apache Engine and Propeller Covers provide full protection for the engine, spinner, and blades, helping prevent wear and supporting cold-weather preheating. Engine covers cinch around or behind the spinner, fully enclose the engine cowl and air inlets, fasten with Velcro, and attach with a belly strap, with optional connection to the canopy cover. Insulated versions feature a quilted, water-repellent composite with 3M Thinsulate and soft nylon lining to retain heat after shutdown, with optional access flaps. Propeller covers are one-piece designs that slip over the blades and spinner, attach with an all-weather zipper, and are available in insulated versions for cold climates. All covers are made from durable Silver Acrylic Sunbrella or Solution-Dyed Polyester, fully lined with soft microfiber, reflective to reduce heat, water-, ice-, and snow-repellent, UV- and anti-static-resistant, breathable to prevent moisture buildup, and gentle on painted surfaces for long-lasting aircraft protection.
Plugs and Protection:
Pitot Tube Covers, Engine Inlet Plugs, and Engine Exhaust Plugs provide essential protection for sensitive aircraft components. Pitot Tube Covers, made of Naugahyde vinyl, slip over the pitot tube and secure with a Velcro strap, featuring a “Remove Before Flight” streamer; a heat-resistant upgrade is available to prevent melting if pitot heat is accidentally activated. Engine Inlet Plugs and Exhaust Plugs are custom-fitted from heavy-duty vinyl and stuffed with sculpted urethane foam, with warning flags or “Remove Before Flight” streamers for safety. Inlet plugs include zippers for easy foam removal and drying, and most can be personalized with the aircraft registration number for an additional charge. These protective plugs may be installed even while the engine is still warm, helping preserve engine components, though storage bags are not included.
Wing/Tail/Empennage Covers:
Horizontal Stabilizer, Empennage, and Wing Covers provide full protection against sun damage, frost, snow, ice buildup, corrosion, and small- to medium-size hail. Made from durable Solution-Dyed Polyester or Silver Acrylic Sunbrella canvas, these covers form-fit over the surfaces, wrapping around leading and trailing edges, with adjustable straps securing them under the aircraft. Empennage covers protect the vertical and horizontal stabilizers along with the tailboom, using zippers and straps for a snug fit, while wing covers cover each wing tip and upper surfaces and can connect under the belly. Optional hail protection incorporates dense closed-cell foam, and the covers accommodate static wicks, antennas, beacons, and wing modifications such as STOL kits or droop tips. All-year Silver Acrylic Sunbrella offers maximum durability and UV protection for continuous outdoor use, while lighter Solution-Dyed Polyester is suitable for seasonal or occasional use.
Heat Shields and Sun Reflectors:
Heatshields are interior sunshades designed to reduce cockpit overheating by blocking sunlight from the windshield, canopy, or other windows. Made from a lightweight composite of closed-cell foam with a reflective silver Mylar finish, the semi-rigid shields can stand securely against sun visors or window framing. They fold flat for easy storage in the included sleeve, with some models requiring Velcro, suction cups, or split left/right sections for a precise fit. While highly effective for short-term heat reduction, Heatshields are intended as a temporary solution, with external fabric covers recommended for long-term sun and heat protection.
Light Weight Travel Covers:
The Piper PA-23 Apache Lightweight Travel Canopy Cover provides the same protection as a standard canopy cover but is made from very lightweight Silver Solution-Dyed Polyester, making it compact and easy to fold for storage. Ideal for hangar-stored aircraft that only need occasional coverage, the cover is lined over the windshield for minimal weight and is water-resistant for short-term outdoor use. For ultra-lightweight hangar dust protection, a special fitted version is available, while the standard Sunbrella cover is recommended for daily outdoor exposure and long-term protection.
