The Luscombe 11A & 11E Over-The-Top Canopy Cover wraps around the windshield, side, and rear windows, extending over the top of the airplane to cover the area between the wings. This one-piece design fastens with Velcro behind the pilot and copilot doors, allowing entry without removing the entire cover. Adjustable belly straps and shock-cord hems provide a snug, secure fit, while special side tightening straps keep the cover flush against the fuselage. Made from Silver Acrylic Sunbrella with a soft microfiber lining, it resists water, ice, snow, and UV damage, while reducing cabin temperatures. Optional registration imprinting and a storage duffle are included.
Extended Canopy Cover:
For full-length protection, the Extended Over-The-Top Canopy Cover reaches down to the main wheel struts and overlaps with wing root fairings. Designed to shield against leaks and debris, it features the same Silver Acrylic Sunbrella outer layer and microfiber lining, with shock-cord hems and adjustable straps to ensure maximum security in all weather conditions.
Engine/Prop Covers:
Engine Covers cinch around or behind the spinner and envelop the entire cowl, including air cooling and induction inlets. Secured with Velcro beneath the spinner and a belly strap aft of the firewall, these covers are crafted from durable Solution-Dyed Polyester or Silver Acrylic Sunbrella. Optional Insulated Engine Covers use a thicker, quilted, water-repellent material with 3M Thinsulate to retain heat and complement engine preheaters in cold climates. For indoor protection, the Insulated Hangar Blanket provides a cost-effective alternative when used with a heating device.
Propeller Covers:
One-piece Propeller Covers slip over the blades and spinner, secured with a weather-resistant zipper at the blade bottom. Available for wooden, composite, or metal props, they are lined with soft microfiber to prevent scratches. Insulated versions include thicker, quilted, breathable, and water-repellent material to maintain warmth and protect in cold weather. Reflective outer layers help reduce cabin heat, and optional access flaps and registration imprinting are available.
Plugs and Protection:
Luscombe pitot tube covers (non-heat resistant) slip over the full tube and secure at the base with a Velcro strap. A “Remove Before Flight” streamer is attached for visibility. Heat-resistant versions are available to prevent melting if pitot heat is activated. Sets can be tethered upon request for added convenience.
Engine Inlet Plugs:
Engine inlet plugs fit securely into the Luscombe 11A & 11E intakes, constructed from heavy-duty vinyl with a sculpted urethane foam core. Zippers allow foam removal and drying, and warning flags or “Remove Before Flight” streamers provide clear visibility. Optional registration imprinting is available, and plugs can be installed even when the engine is warm.
Wing/Tail/Empennage Covers:
Protect your Luscombe 11A & 11E Sedan and Spartan aircraft from sun damage, frost, snow, ice, and corrosion with custom-fit Horizontal Stabilizer, Empennage, and Wing Covers. Horizontal Stabilizer Covers wrap the full upper surface and overlap the leading and trailing edges, securing underneath with adjustable straps. Empennage Covers provide complete protection for both vertical and horizontal stabilizers plus the tailboom, zipping over elevators and rudder while accommodating antennas, beacons, and static wicks. Wing Covers form-fit around the tips and upper surfaces, wrap the leading and trailing edges, and secure underneath with adjustable straps; they can attach together under the fuselage for extra security and accommodate wingtip modifications such as STOL kits, droop tips, or vortex generators.
All covers are available in durable, all-year Silver Acrylic Sunbrella for maximum UV and weather protection, or lighter Solution-Dyed Polyester for seasonal use. Hail Protection versions with dense closed-cell foam can be added to shield surfaces from small to medium hail. These covers are designed for long-term outdoor use, are highly reflective to reduce cabin heat, and are breathable to allow moisture to escape, helping preserve your aircraft’s paint, control surfaces, and structural integrity. Labeled LEFT/RIGHT wing covers simplify installation and ensure a precise, secure fit.

Interior Heatshields for the Luscombe 11A & 11E provide an effective barrier against cockpit overheating. Constructed from a semi-rigid closed-cell foam core with a reflective silver mylar finish, they stand securely inside the window framing using sun visors or other supports. The set folds flat for convenient storage in the included sleeve, and some designs use Velcro or suction cups for added stability. Heatshields are perfect for short-term temperature control, while an external fabric cover is recommended for long-term protection.
Miscellaneous Products:
Designed to shield your wheels and wheelpants from sun damage and wear caused by tow-bar movement, these covers provide reliable protection during outdoor storage. Made from all-year Silver Acrylic Sunbrella canvas, the material offers excellent UV resistance, water repellency, and long-term durability. Heavier and robust, these covers are suitable for all weather conditions, including rain, snow, and intense sun exposure, helping to preserve your aircraft’s finish and components.
Light Weight Travel Covers:
Designed for hangared aircraft that require occasional protection, this travel cover provides the same coverage as our standard Canopy Cover but uses a very lightweight material for compact storage. Made from Silver Solution-Dyed Polyester, the cover is lined only over the windshield to reduce weight while still protecting the glass.
The material is water-resistant and ideal for infrequent outdoor use, folding easily for convenient stowage in the aircraft. An ultra-light version is also available for fitted hangar dust protection, while the full Sunbrella Cover is recommended for daily outdoor use and long-term weather resistance.
