The Cylinder Head Temperature (CHT) - standard Bayonet - probe, has a captive 3/8-24 boss which is screwed into the base of the cylinder. The CHT port is predrilled by your engine manufacturer. The CHT probe has a screwdriver slot to facilitate tightening.
