Construction & Finish
Micro Vortex Generators are manufactured from 6063-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum under FAA PMA approval. Each VG is alodined to Boeing mil-spec standards for corrosion resistance and durability, and supplied ready for paint. Each vortex generator features a curved base contoured to match the aircraft surface, ensuring proper fit, adhesion, and aerodynamic performance.
Optional paint matching to your aircraft’s finish is available at an additional cost.
How Micro Vortex Generators Work
Micro Vortex Generators are installed in a spanwise line approximately 10% aft of the wing’s leading edge, with additional units installed on the horizontal stabilizer. Each VG creates a small, controlled vortex that energizes the boundary layer of airflow over the wing and tail surfaces. This energized airflow resists separation, allowing the aircraft to maintain lift and control at lower airspeeds and higher angles of attack. The result is improved performance, enhanced stability, and greater control authority—particularly valuable in multi-engine operations.
