Construction & Finish
Micro Vortex Generators are manufactured under FAA PMA approval from 6063-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum. Each VG is alodined to Boeing mil-spec standards for corrosion resistance and long service life, and supplied ready for paint. Each vortex generator features a contoured base to match the aircraft surface for optimal adhesion and aerodynamic performance.
Optional paint matching to your aircraft’s finish is available at an additional cost.
How Micro Vortex Generators Work
Micro Vortex Generators create controlled micro-vortices that energize the boundary layer of air flowing over the wing and tail surfaces. An energized boundary layer resists airflow separation, allowing the aircraft to maintain lift and control at lower airspeeds and higher angles of attack. The result is improved stall behavior, better control authority, and safer handling characteristics—particularly during critical phases of flight.
