Canopy/Cockpit/Fuselage Covers:
The Beech Twin Bonanza B50 Canopy, Canopy/Nose, and Extended Canopy/Nose Covers are designed to protect the windshield, side windows, canopy roof, and nose from excessive heat, UV exposure, moisture, and debris while helping preserve upholstery and avionics and reducing issues caused by leaking door and window seals. Each cover is custom fit to the B50 and tailored to antenna and temperature probe placements, securing with adjustable belly straps, quick-release buckles, and shock cord sewn into the hem for a snug, reliable fit that also helps deter vandalism and theft. Constructed from Silver Acrylic Sunbrella canvas and fully lined with soft microfiber, the covers are water-, ice-, and snow-repellent, UV- and anti-static resistant, and highly reflective to reduce cabin temperatures to near ambient levels while remaining breathable to allow moisture to escape. Optional registration number imprinting and color-matched trim are available, and a duffle bag is included for convenient storage.
Engine/Prop Covers:
Beech Twin Bonanza B50 Engine and Propeller Covers provide full protection for the engine cowl, air cooling and induction inlets, and spinner, helping prevent debris intrusion, weather damage, and cold-weather wear. Engine Covers cinch around or behind the spinner, fasten with Velcro beneath the spinner down the front of the cowling, and secure with a belly strap aft of the firewall, with the option to Velcro directly to the Canopy Cover; optional access flaps are also available. Standard Engine Covers are made from durable Solution-Dyed Polyester or Acrylic Sunbrella, while Insulated Engine Covers feature a specialized composite of solution-dyed polyester, 3M Thinsulate insulation, and soft nylon lining to retain heat after shutdown and complement engine preheaters in cold climates. Propeller Covers are one-piece, form-fitting designs for wooden, composite, or metal props in multiple blade configurations, slipping over the blades and spinner and securing with an all-weather zipper; insulated versions use thicker, quilted, water-repellent, and breathable materials for enhanced cold-weather performance. Silver Acrylic Sunbrella outer layers with full microfiber linings provide excellent UV, water, ice, and snow resistance, prevent scratching, reduce static buildup, and reflect heat to maintain near-ambient temperatures while allowing moisture to escape.
Plugs and Protection:
Pitot Tube Covers and Engine Inlet Plugs provide essential protection for critical aircraft components during storage and ground operations. Standard (non–heat resistant) Pitot Tube Covers are made from durable Naugahyde vinyl and are designed to slip over the entire pitot assembly, tightening securely at the base with a Velcro strap and featuring a highly visible “Remove Before Flight” streamer; heat-resistant versions are available as an upgrade to prevent melting if pitot heat is accidentally activated, and optional tethering can be added upon request. Engine Inlet Plugs are custom fit for the B50’s intakes and constructed from heavy-duty vinyl filled with a single block of sculpted urethane foam, with a built-in zipper to allow the foam to be removed and dried if needed. These plugs include warning flags or “Remove Before Flight” streamers visible from the cockpit, may be imprinted with the aircraft registration number for an additional charge, can be installed while the engine is still warm, and are also known as Cowl Plugs, Intake Plugs, Cowl Blocks, Engine Blocks, or Engine Bungs.
Wing/Tail/Empennage Covers:
The Horizontal Stabilizer, Empennage, and Wing Covers provide comprehensive protection for your aircraft against sun damage, frost, snow, ice buildup, corrosion, and hail. Horizontal Stabilizer Covers fully enclose the upper surfaces, overlapping the leading and trailing edges and wingtips, and secure underneath with adjustable straps, with optional cut-outs for static wicks. The one-piece Empennage Cover protects both the vertical and horizontal stabilizers as well as the tailboom, fastening with adjustable belly straps and durable all-weather zippers while accommodating antennas, beacons, and static wicks. Wing Covers form-fit around each wingtip, cover the entire upper surface, wrap the leading and trailing edges, and secure underneath with adjustable straps, with the left and right covers optionally connecting under the belly. These covers can also be customized to accommodate wing tip modifications such as STOL kits, droop tips, or vortex generators. Hail Protection versions incorporate dense closed-cell foam into the upper surfaces to shield wings and control surfaces from small- to medium-size hail.
All covers are available in two material options: All-Year Use Silver Acrylic Sunbrella canvas, which is heavier, highly durable, and ideal for continuous outdoor exposure, and Winter Use Solution-Dyed Polyester, which is lighter and more compact for seasonal or occasional use. Both materials are treated for UV resistance, water, ice, and snow repellency, and are fully lined with soft microfiber to prevent scratching while allowing moisture to escape. These high-performance covers ensure long-term protection, maintain the aircraft’s finish, and safeguard critical control surfaces under all weather conditions.
Heat Shields and Sun Reflectors:
Heatshields are interior sunshades designed to reduce heat buildup inside an aircraft’s cockpit or cabin by reflecting sunlight away from windows or canopy glass. Constructed from a unique composite of closed-cell foam with a reflective silver Mylar finish, the semi-rigid panels are stiff enough to stand securely against the windshield or side windows using sun visors or window framing. They fold flat for easy storage in the included sleeve, and some designs feature Velcro, suction cups, or split right- and left-side panels for optimal fit. While Heatshields provide an excellent short-term solution to reduce cockpit overheating, external fabric covers remain the more effective and practical option for long-term sun protection.
Light Weight Travel Covers:
The Lightweight Travel Canopy and Canopy/Nose Covers provide the same protection as our standard covers but are made from very lightweight Silver Solution-Dyed Polyester fabric, making them ideal for airplanes stored primarily in hangars and used only occasionally outdoors. These travel covers are lined only over the windshield to save weight, fold up compactly for easy storage, and are water-resistant for short-term outdoor use. For airplanes requiring minimal coverage or easy stowage, ultra-lightweight options are also available for fitted hangar dust covers, though for daily or long-term outdoor exposure, the standard Sunbrella covers remain the recommended choice.
