Canopy/Cockpit/Fuselage Covers:
Beech Baron D55 & E55 Canopy and Nose Covers provide full protection for your aircraft’s windshield, side windows, canopy roof, engine cowl, and nose, reducing heat-related damage to upholstery and avionics while preventing issues from water, debris, or leaking seals. Each cover is custom-fitted for antennas and temperature probes, attaches securely with adjustable belly straps, quick-release buckles, and integrated shock cord, and is crafted from Silver Acrylic Sunbrella canvas fully lined with soft microfiber to prevent scratching. One-piece Canopy/Nose and Extended Canopy/Nose designs extend to the wing roots to integrate with wing, engine, and empennage covers for complete protection. The outer material is water, ice, and snow repellent, UV- and anti-static resistant, and highly reflective to maintain near-ambient cabin temperatures, while the breathable lining allows moisture to escape. Optional registration imprinting, color-matched corners, and included duffle bags add convenience, making these durable, high-performance covers ideal for long-term outdoor use or as part of a full aircraft cover set.
Engine/Prop Covers:
Engine and Propeller Covers provide full protection for the engine cowl, air cooling and induction inlets, and spinner, helping prevent wear and supporting cold-weather operation. Engine covers cinch around or behind the spinner, fasten with Velcro beneath the spinner, and attach with a belly strap aft of the firewall, with the option to Velcro to the canopy cover. Insulated engine covers feature a composite of solution-dyed polyester, 3M Thinsulate insulation, and soft nylon lining to retain heat, complement engine preheaters, and reduce wear in cold climates, with optional access flaps available. Propeller covers are one-piece, form-fitting designs that slip over blades and spinner, secured with a plastic all-weather zipper, and are available for multiple blade types, including wooden, composite, or metal props. Insulated propeller covers are thicker, quilted, water-repellent, and breathable, made from Silver Acrylic Sunbrella canvas fully lined with soft microfiber to prevent scratching, reflect heat, and maintain near-ambient temperatures, offering durable, high-performance protection in all weather conditions.
Plugs and Protection:
ThePitot Tube Covers, available in standard (non-heat resistant) or upgraded heat-resistant versions, are made of durable Naugahyde vinyl and designed to slip over the entire pitot assembly, tightening securely at the base with a Velcro strap and featuring a “Remove Before Flight” streamer, with optional tethering for added convenience. Engine Inlet Plugs are custom-fit for the D55 & E55 intakes, constructed from heavy-duty vinyl and padded with a single block of sculpted urethane foam, with a zipper to allow the foam to be removed and dried if needed. Each plug includes a highly visible warning flag or “Remove Before Flight” streamer, and most can be imprinted with the aircraft registration number for an additional charge. Also referred to as Cowl Plugs, Intake Plugs, Cowl Blocks, Engine Blocks, or Engine Bungs, these plugs may be inserted after flight while the engine is still warm, providing durable, high-visibility protection for critical engine components, though storage bags are not included.
Wing/Tail/Empennage Covers:
Horizontal Stabilizer, Empennage, Tailcone, and Wing Covers provide full protection against sun damage, frost, snow, ice, corrosion, and hail, keeping paint and control surfaces safe year-round. Horizontal stabilizer covers fully enclose the upper surfaces, overlapping leading and trailing edges and wingtips, and secure underneath with adjustable straps, with optional cutouts for static wicks. Empennage covers are one-piece designs covering both vertical and horizontal stabilizers and the tailboom, fastening with adjustable belly straps and all-weather zippers while accommodating antennas, beacons, and static wicks. Tailcone covers strap onto the leading edge of the horizontal stabilizer or slightly overlap the elevators to prevent bird nesting and debris entry. Wing covers form-fit around each wingtip, wrap the entire upper surface, and attach under the wing with adjustable straps, including options for STOL kits, droop tips, vortex generators, and cutouts for static wicks. Hail protection versions incorporate dense closed-cell foam to shield against small to medium hail. All-year use covers are made from Silver Acrylic Sunbrella canvas for maximum durability, UV resistance, and weather protection, while winter-use or seasonal covers use lighter Solution-Dyed Polyester, offering compactness for occasional use but with less UV longevity. These high-performance covers combine durable materials, secure fastening, and precise fit to protect all major lifting and control surfaces in any weather condition.
Heat Shields and Sun Reflectors:
Heatshields are interior sunshades for an aircraft’s windows or canopy glass, designed to reduce cockpit overheating in the short term. Made from a unique composite of closed-cell foam with a reflective silver mylar finish, the semi-rigid panels are stiff enough to stand inside the windshield or window framing using sun visors or supports. The set folds flat for easy storage in the included sleeve, and some designs may use Velcro, suction cups, or split left and right panels for a proper fit. While highly effective for temporary heat reduction, external fabric covers remain a more practical and durable solution for long-term cockpit protection.
Light Weight Travel Covers:
The Lightweight Travel Canopy and Canopy/Nose Covers provide the same coverage as standard covers but are made from very lightweight Silver Solution-Dyed Polyester fabric, folding compactly for easy storage. Ideal for airplanes stored full-time in hangars and only needing occasional protection, these covers are lined over the windshield to save weight and are water-resistant for short-term outdoor use. Ultra-lightweight versions are also available for fitted hangar dust covers, while standard Sunbrella covers remain the best choice for daily or extended outdoor protection.
