Canopy/Cockpit/Fuselage Covers:
Protect your Aviat (Christen) Eagle’s interior, avionics, and exterior surfaces with a custom-fit canopy cover. Designed to reduce heat damage, prevent water intrusion from leaking seals, and keep windows clean, the cover also helps deter vandalism and theft. Each cover is tailored to your aircraft’s specific antenna and temperature probe placements, enclosing the windshield, side windows, and canopy roof.
Constructed from medium-weight Silver Acrylic Sunbrella canvas with a soft microfiber lining, the cover is water-, ice-, and snow-repellent while remaining breathable. Adjustable belly straps with quick-release buckles secure the cover, and optional designs can attach to the fuselage or cowl using snap-head fasteners. The reflective outer fabric significantly lowers cabin temperatures on hot days, and the smooth inner lining protects paint and surfaces from scratches. Canopy covers are also commonly referred to as cabin covers, fuselage covers, canvas covers, or canopy caps.
Engine/Prop Covers:
Engine covers for your Aviat (Christen) Eagle fully shield the cowl and air inlets, securing with Velcro and adjustable belly straps. Insulated options with quilted 3M Thinsulate help retain heat for preheating, while standard covers use durable Solution-Dyed Polyester or Silver Acrylic Sunbrella.
Propeller covers slip over blades and spinner, lined with soft microfiber to prevent scratches. Insulated versions provide extra cold-weather protection. All covers are reflective, water-, ice-, and snow-repellent, UV-resistant, and breathable, keeping your engine, propeller, and cockpit area safe year-round.
Plugs and Protection:
Custom-fit vinyl inlet plugs for the Aviat (Christen) Eagle are shaped to snugly fit the engine intakes and feature a sculpted urethane foam core. A zipper allows the foam to be removed for drying or cleaning when needed. Bright warning flags or sewn-in "Remove Before Flight" streamers provide clear visual reminders, and registration numbers can be added for an additional charge. These plugs can be inserted even when the engine is warm and are often called cowl plugs, intake plugs, cowl blocks, engine blocks, or engine bungs. Storage bag is not included.
Wing/Tail/Empennage Covers:
Custom-fit covers protect the wings, horizontal stabilizers, and empennage from sun, frost, snow, ice, and corrosion. Constructed from durable Solution-Dyed Polyester or Silver Acrylic Sunbrella, the covers fully wrap the upper surfaces, leading and trailing edges, and tailboom, securing with adjustable straps and all-weather zippers where needed. Cut-outs accommodate static wicks, and modifications are available for STOL kits, droop tips, or vortex generators. Covers are labeled LEFT and RIGHT for easy installation.
Winter-use fabrics are lighter and compact for seasonal protection, while all-year Silver Acrylic Sunbrella provides heavier, UV- and weather-resistant durability. Hail protection versions incorporate dense closed-cell foam for added impact resistance. The one-piece empennage section stretches over the elevators and rudder, cinching under the horizontal stabilizers with straps for a snug fit while accommodating antennas and beacons. Together, these covers provide comprehensive, year-round protection for the aircraft’s wings and tail surfaces.
Light Weight Travel Covers:
The Lightweight Travel Canopy Cover provides the same coverage as the standard canopy cover but uses very lightweight materials that fold compactly for easy storage. Ideal for aircraft stored full-time in a hangar and used only occasionally, it is made from Silver Solution-Dyed Polyester and lined over the windshield to save weight. The water-resistant fabric is intended for short-term outdoor use, and an ultra-lightweight option is available for fitted hangar dust covers. For regular outdoor protection, the standard Sunbrella canopy cover remains the preferred choice.
