The Heated Probe features a built-in 12VDC or 24VDC heater to reduce ice buildup on the leading edge, ensuring accurate performance in cold conditions. Its compact design fits aircraft with limited wing clearance (less than 2"), such as the Bonanza, and can be used on any airplane.
This probe serves as a drop-in replacement for existing Alpha Systems AOA mounting plates and includes swivel fittings for installation on either wing. It draws 7.167 amps and requires a dedicated 10-amp switched breaker or fuse.
A Heated Relay Kit is available to connect the probe heater to the aircraft’s pitot heat switch for convenient operation.
