Construction & Finish
Micro Vortex Generators are manufactured from 6063-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum under FAA PMA approval. Each VG is alodined to Boeing mil-spec standards for corrosion resistance and durability, and supplied ready for paint. Each vortex generator features a contoured base designed to match the aircraft surface for proper fit, adhesion, and aerodynamic performance.
Optional paint matching to your aircraft’s finish is available at an additional cost.
How Micro Vortex Generators Work
Micro Vortex Generators create small, controlled vortices that energize the boundary layer of airflow over the wing, rudder, and engine nacelle surfaces. An energized boundary layer resists airflow separation, allowing the aircraft to maintain lift, directional control, and stability at lower airspeeds and higher angles of attack. The result is improved control authority, safer asymmetric performance, and enhanced handling—particularly during critical multi-engine operations.
